FAQ
Frequently asked questions
1 Do you just work in LA?
No. While I am based in Los Angeles, I work with filmmakers, actors, and productions worldwide. Since COVID-19, much of the casting process has moved online. Auditions, callbacks, meetings, and even chemistry reads can be handled remotely with professional efficiency.
2 Do you also work on set as a casting director?
Yes. I’m actively involved on set when needed. I manage background actors, including large crowd scenes, and ensure everything runs smoothly from a casting perspective. I also support communication between production and actors, helping maintain clarity, focus, and a professional working environment.
I collaborate closely with intimacy coordinators and studio teachers when required, fully respecting their roles and expertise. My goal is always to support the process, not replace specialized professionals, but to ensure cohesive communication between all departments and the cast.
3 Do you always charge the same rate for casting?
No. My fee depends on the scope of the project, including the number of roles to be cast, the complexity of the requirements, the timeline, and the level of involvement needed.
For example, some productions require full casting services from breakdown to final booking, while others may also want me present for callbacks, chemistry reads, or on set support. Each project is unique, so I provide tailored quotes based on what you need.
If you want a slightly stronger positioning tone:
Casting is not one size fits all. Whether you need principal casting, background coordination, chemistry reads, or ongoing collaboration through production, I structure my involvement to fit the creative and logistical needs of your project.
4 Do you only work with directors?
No. I support both directors and actors. I help directors find the right talent for their vision, and I guide actors in presenting themselves in a way that increases their chances of being cast.
Casting is a collaboration. My role is to understand what a director needs while also helping performers communicate their strengths clearly and effectively.
If you want it slightly more powerful:
I don’t just connect people. I help directors clarify their vision and help actors understand how they are being seen. When both sides are aligned, the right casting decisions happen naturally.

I also work with Universities, Film Schools and Podcasts.
5 At what stage should a production hire a casting director?
Ideally during early development. Casting influences budgeting, scheduling, and packaging. Bringing a casting director in early allows for strategic decisions that strengthen the project creatively and commercially.
That said, I require a clear and realistic casting budget before beginning the process. Transparency ensures we can target the right level of talent and build a casting strategy that aligns with the production’s goals.
